Where to Start Looking for Information

The easiest way to find information on Benefits Collective is to use the search box on the upper-right corner of each page. Type in the topic you would like information on (e.g., 401(k) plan, HIPAA, 409A, etc.) and click "Go" to jump to a wiki page that has that topic as its title. If a page with that title does not exist, the wiki will automatically search for other pages that contain the keywords you have entered. (You can also skip the title search and perform a keyword search directly by clicking on "Search" instead of "Go.")

A typical wiki page will contain a brief overview of a topic and links to related wiki pages and other information. Benefits Collective emphasizes the inclusion of primary sources (such as government regulations) whenever possible, but some pages may also have links to external sites.

How to Contribute

The best way to contribute to Benefits Collective is to add information as you use it. If you find information on a page to be incomplete (or wrong!) just click the "edit" tab at the top of the page to modify it. Editing a wiki page is easy, and does not require any knowledge of HTML or other Web languages. If you search for a topic and do not find a page on it, it is also easy to create a new page. Head to How to create or edit an article for more information.

If you would like to add a link to an external Web page, feel free to do so. Remember, however, that links to purely commercial or promotional sites are discouraged. If you would like to advertise benefits-related services on Benefits Collective, contact us for information.
